Harvest Festival to support both Wokingham families and Ugandan communities recovering from crisis
Harvest Festival Sunday at All Saints Church will support both Wokingham families in crisis and Northern Ugandan communities recovering from years of insurgent military conflict.
Parishioners are invited to donate gifts of non-perishable food which will be donated to Wokingham Food Bank - see its website for the shopping list.
Additionally a money collection will be taken at the end of each service to support Northern Ugandan communities with agricultural sustainability as they continue to recover from the devastation of the military conflict which ended a few years ago after 20 years of conflict. All Saints has a long-standing partnership with CIFORD, the Anglican supported charity working in Northern Uganda. Read a report from earlier this year about this work
This year Harvest Festival Sunday will take place on Sunday 2nd October with Harvest-themed services at 8am, 9.30am , 11am and 6.30pm
